As they present his comprehensive styles in his many architecture works, we chose “YUSUHARA WOODEN BRIDGE MUSEUM : gallery over the clouds” and “TIFFANY GINZA BUILDING”. Those sketch drawings are reappeared by using the technique of Edo woodblock printing.

Kengo Kuma is a global architect who represents Japan and has designed new Japan National Stadium, main venue for 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
This exhibition’s works have the freshness which presents that the theme (=architecture’s sketch drawing), which rarely appears in public, as Edo woodblock printing works. And also, the process of making unusual motif’s works of architecture’s sketch drawings, rare to deal with, make Edo woodblock printing artisans try to gain techniques.
